FAQ’s about Hair

Hair extensions are hair that is attached to your own hair to give you the appearance and feel of longer hair. All of our human hair extensions are made from 100% real human hair.

There are many different types of hair extensions, including:

1. Clip In Hair Extension

2. Hair Weave/ Wefts

3. Fusion Hair Extensions

4. Tape In Hair Extensions

1) Expose a strand of hair to flame. If the hair is natural, it will immediately catch fire and burn instantly, curling into a ball. Synthetic hair, on the other hand, will slowly melt rather than burn.

2) The human hair feels like natural cold, just like the feeling when you touch the silk. The hair is very straight with weighty hang down sense.

If you are getting a full weave, an average person needs about 2 packs of hair, although it is advised to go for 3 packs. For weave it is best to buy two packs to make sure you have enough. You can always use the leftover hair later. If you are using hair over 18″ long you might need another pack. If you are getting tracks, one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18″ hair length. If you are getting the hair bonded one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18″ hair length. If you are getting fusion or micro then you will need to consult your stylist.

A pack of hair consists of 100grams of hair.

Virgin hair is a form of human hair, which has never been colored or permed. It is 100 percent unprocessed hairs wherein all the cuticles remain intact.

Remy hair is a premium segment of the virgin human hair. The cuticle layer of the hair remains intact and runs in the same direction to prevent any kind of tangling and retaining its own natural look.

Generally, our hair can last for 1-2 years. And it can last longer if installed and maintained properly. The hair can also be taken out and reused for future installations.

Keeping new extensions combed out properly will keep away knot and tangles. To keep away the knots hold your hair as if it were in a ponytail. Use a brush that is designed for extensions like a loop brush or a wide tooth comb to gently brush through your hair.

You may go in swimming pools and hot tubs. It is best to wash the hair right after swimming. Avoid getting hair in salt water as the salt can take all the moisture out of the hair and it will lead to tangling of the hair. Never braid your hair and go in salt water. It is best to wear it down.

Yes. Remy hair can be styled just like your hair. You can perm it, set it, blow dry it, hot curl it, etc. Please take note that when you perm or curl it please go to professional salons.

If you want to color the hair, we recommend you buy our virgin hair which is completely unprocessed. The hair is completely virgin and will take the color very easily just like human hair. However, it may be a bit more complicated if you are deciding to go too light of a color. If you would like to color your dark hair to a blonde or light brown, you would have the bleach the hair first, then add the color. We do not recommend you do this yourself unless you are experienced. We suggest you consult a stylist for these types of complicated coloring procedures.

You should not have much of a problem if you would like to go a couple shades lighter. The same goes for dying the hair to jet black color. You can buy any quality hair color at the store or salon to do this. Since these colors are close to the natural color range it should be a relatively easy procedure.

Treat this hair like your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. You should stay away from ammonia based products because they can break down the cuticles on the hair, this can lead to tangling and shedding. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable, so use leave in conditioners. You can also use products like gel and hair spray to keep the curls in place, but make sure to wash your hair and not leave in these products in for a long time.

You must NEVER sleep on wet hair. Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair which makes it very difficult to keep them the way you want. Just make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Many people wrap their hair up in a scarf before they go to sleep, this is a good way to ensure your hair will be in the same state as you went to bed!
